BREAD HALWA

INGREDIENTS :
4 Bread Slices
1 Cup of milk
1/4 Cup sugar
Vanilla essence
Chopped Nuts , Raisins
Cardamom Powder

METHOD :
* Boil the milk .
* Take only the white portion of the bread and Cut into pieces .
* Add the bread pieces in the milk and stir well .
* Low the flame and add sugar to it .
* Mix well.
* Now add the vanilla essence and the cardamom powder and stir well .
* Remove from heat and Pour it into small cups . Decorate with nuts .
* Refrigerate it for just 10 mins and your Halwa is ready now....

POTATO CURRY - MY STYLE


INGREDIENTS :
2 Large Potatoes
Oil
Salt for taste
Mustard seeds , Urad dal

For Masala :
3 Garlic Pieces
2 Red Chilles
Coriander seeds
Channa Dal
Fenugreek Seeds
Cumin seeds

METHOD :
* Boil the potatoes , Peel the skin and Cut into small cubes .
* Fry the ingredients for masala , let it cool down and grind it coarsly .
* Heat the oil in a kadai , Splutter the mustard seeds and fry the urad dal .
* Add the potaoes and the grinded masala powder .
* Stir well .
* Add the salt as required .
* Serve hot with Hot rice

IDLI UPMA


INGREDIENTS :
3 Idlis
2 Onions
1 Tomato
2 Green Chillies
Ginger
Curry leaves
2 Tbsp oil
Mustard seeds , Cumin seeds.
Turmeric powder
Salt for taste

METHOD :
* Smash the Idlis with hands .
* Chop the onions ,tomato , chilli , ginger and Curry leaves .
* Heat oil in a kadai and splutter the Mustard seeds .
* Fry the Cumin seeds .
* Add onions and fry till brown .
* Add Chilli , Ginger , Salt and Turmeric powder . Fry for a min .
* Now add Tomatoes and fry till cooked .
* Remove from stove and add the idli pieces . Stir well .
* Garnish with Curry leaves .
* Goes well as a snack / Breakfast tooo....

BHINDI MASALA

INGREDIENTS :
1 lb Okra
1 Medium Tomato
2 Onions
Oil for frying
Mustard seeds , Cumin seeds , Urad dal
Ginger garlic Paste
Garam Masala
Chilli Powder
Salt For taste

METHOD :
*Cut The Okra , Tomato and Onions lenght wise .
* Fry the Okra till crisp and keep it aside .
* Heat oil in the kadai and Splutter the mustard seeds
* Fry the Cumin seeds and Urad dal .
* Fry the onions till they turn Brown .
* Add salt and masalas , Fry for a min.
* Add Tomatoes and cook till tender .
*When cooked add the Okra and stir gently .
* After 2 mins garnish with coriander leaves.
* Serve with rotis/Hot rice.

VEN-PONGAL


INGREDENTS :

1 Cup Rice
1/4 Cup Moong Dal
Black Pepper
Cumin Seeds
Cashews
Salt for taste
2 tbsp Ghee
4 Cups of water

METHOD :

* Pressure cook rice and Dal with 4 cups of water .
* Powder some of the Black peppers and cumin seeds .
* Heat ghee in a Kadai and fry the remaining pepper , cumin seeds , Cashews and the grinded powder till they turn brown.
* Add this to the cooked rice/dal and add salt as required .
* Mix well.
* Serve pongal Hot with Coconut Chutney.
