This is one of the favourite dish of my Mom , I used to make fun of her that she will live only on this upma . This is a very healthy and tasty dish .
INGREDIENTS :
1 Cup Broken wheat
1 cup Mixed vegetables ( finely chopped )
1 medium onion , 1 tomato ( finely chopped )
Ginger , 1 Green chilli ( Finely chopped )
Salt ( as per taste )
1 1/2 cup water
Coriander leaves for garnishing
For seasoning :
1 tbsp oil
Mustard seeds , urad dal
METHOD :
* Heat a kadai and prepare the seasoning
* Fry the onions by adding salt till transparent
* Add the tomatoes and fry till done
* Add the mixed veges and fry for a min or two
* Add the water and let it boil
* Now add the broken wheat and cook till all the water is absorbed
* Remove from heat and garnish with curry/ coriander leaves
* Serve hot with ur favourite chutney !!!
