GREEN GRAM DAL RICE


INGREDIENTS :

1 cup Basmati rice

1/4 cup green gram dal

1 small onion

1 small tomato

1 Green chilli , Ginger , Garlic ( Sliced thinly )


For seasoning :

1 tbsp oil

1 tbsp mustard seeds , urad dal , jeera


METHOD :

* Soak dal overnight and cook till soft ( do take care that it is not over cooked )

* Cook rice and keep it seperately

* Heat a kadai , do the seasoning

* Fry the onions with salt

* Then cook the tomatoes till done

* Add the sliced spices and cook

* Add the dal and stir gently

* If needed add pepper powder

* Remove from heat , mix with rice and garnish with coriander leaves

* Serve hot with your favourite curry

I mix dal n rice n cook, eat with gujarati kadhi..your recipe for stirfried rice is interesting
