CAPSICUM RICE


INGREDIENTS :
1 Cup Basmati rice
1 Green Capsicum
1 Medium onion
1 Green Chilli
Ginger-Garlic paste
Salt as per taste
Pepper powder as per taste
FOR GRINDING :
1 tsp Channa dal
1 tsp Urad dal
1 tsp coriander seeds
1 tsp Til
1 or 2 Red Chillies
FOR SEASONING :
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp mustard seed , urad dal
1 tsp fennel seeds
METHOD :
* Chop capsicum , onion , green chilly lengthwise
* Cook Rice and keep it aside
* Heat a kadai and prepare the seasoning
* Meanwhile dry roast the ingredients for grinding , et it cool and coarsely powder it
* In the seasoning add the chillly and ginger-garlic paste and fry for a minute
* Fry the onions with salt till transparent
* Add the Capsicum and fry till done ( take care that it is still crisp )
* Add the grinded masala and stir gently
* Remove from fire and mix with rice
* If needed put some pepper powder over it
* Garnish as desired and serve hot with raita or any other side dish !!
