MILAGU KOZHAMBU


INGREDIENTS :

2 tbsp peppercorns
2 tbsp coriander leaves
2 red chillies
2 tbsp toor dal
curry leaves , asafoetida ( a little )
Tamarind pulp - Lemon size
Salt as per taste

For seasoning :
1 tbsp oil
1 tbsp mustard seeds , urad dal .

METHOD :

* Roast all the ingredients (except tamarind ) , let it cool and grind them
* Soak the tamarind in warm water for 10 minutes and extract the water
* Heat a kadai and prepare the seasoning
* Add the tamarind juice and the grinded mixture
* Let it boil till the raw smell is gone
* Let the gravy thicken
* When the gravy thickens, remove from heat .
* Serve with hot rice !!!
* This can be stored for more than a week !!!
