ONION RICE


INGREDIENTS :
1 cup Basmati rice
1 large onion ( Sliced thinly lengthwise )
1 green chilli ( slit lengthwise )
Ginger-garlic paste
Salt as per taste
Pepper powder as per taste
FOR SEASONING :
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp mustard seeds , urad dal
1 tsp fennel seeds
METHOD :
* Cook the rice seperately and keep it aside
* Heat oil in a kadai and prepare the seasoning
* Fry the ginger - garlic paste and chilly
* Add the onions and fry ( not till they turn brown )
* Add salt and remove from heat
* Mix with the rice and add pepper powder as per taste
* Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with Raita !!
